COLETTE X MUZO QUEEN NECKLACE
An emerald earns nothing by existing. It has to be read.
The Queen Necklace is the centrepiece of the Colette x MUZO collaboration, a meeting of two houses united by a shared conviction: a gemstone is never merely decorative. It carries the meaning of the piece.
At the heart of the necklace is a natural Muzo emerald from Colombia, selected for its depth, saturation and unmistakable character. Muzo emeralds possess a particular quality of green, formed deep within the Colombian earth and impossible to reproduce through colour alone. Colette designed the necklace around that singular presence, allowing the stone to determine the architecture surrounding it.
Set in 18 karat white gold, the structure brings the emerald to the throat without competing with it. Every element resolves toward the centre, creating a deliberate progression of colour, texture and light.
White diamonds introduce precision and brilliance. Onyx and malachite extend the composition beyond the emerald, creating darker planes and deeper shades of green that reinforce its natural intensity. Together, the stones create a landscape around the central gem, each material chosen for the way it changes the reading of the emerald.
The setting is handcrafted with restraint. Gold becomes the structure, while the stones remain the language.
This is not a necklace built around ornament.
