The penacho, the ceremonial headdress, has long stood among the most powerful forms of pre Columbian adornment. More than an object of decoration, it expressed identity, authority and spiritual connection. Its presence was inseparable from the person who wore it.

For Colette, who has spent her life between two cultures, Penacho is where this duality becomes form. The collection draws from the architecture of the headdress, its verticality, its layers and its commanding sense of presence, and translates these elements into jewellery.

The creations do not imitate the original form. They interpret its underlying language through 18 karat gold and exceptional gemstones, preserving the sense of structure while allowing the jewellery to exist entirely on its own terms.

What emerges is not costume, but continuity. A collection in which cultural memory becomes contemporary form, and heritage becomes something carried forward rather than simply remembered.
