PENACHO MEDIUM COCKTAIL EARRINGS
Form carries the memory of where we come from.
Penacho was born from Colette’s Mexican heritage and her connection to the visual language of Aztec culture. At the heart of the collection is the ceremonial headdress, whose extraordinary compositions of feathers transformed natural forms into expressions of identity, power and meaning.
Feathers held a particular significance within Aztec culture. Their colour, movement and rarity gave them a presence that extended beyond adornment. Among the most evocative associations is the hummingbird, connected to Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec deity of sun and war. Warriors who died in battle were believed to return as hummingbirds, carrying the idea of transformation from the battlefield into the natural world.
The Penacho Medium Cocktail Earrings translate this heritage through structure and movement. Crafted in 18 karat white gold, each earring builds a graduated silhouette inspired by the layered rhythm of the ceremonial headdress. The form carries volume without becoming heavy, allowing the architecture to remain precise while responding naturally to the movement of the wearer.
White and black diamonds create a contrast of light and depth across the composition. With 6.67 carats of diamonds, brilliance becomes part of the architecture, revealing the progression of each element rather than simply decorating its surface.
The result is a jewel rooted in cultural memory, translated through Colette’s language of form, proportion and light.
A heritage carried forward.
A silhouette transformed.
Memory, made wearable.
