Insects have always known something we forget. They carry their architecture on the outside.

The Beetle is a charm — a single object with the weight of something older than ornament. Part of the active collection at Colette Jewelry, it holds the beetle in 18-karat gold: carapace rendered in precise relief, form complete in itself. Not reduced. Not softened.

I made this because the beetle is already a jewel. My work was to not interfere — only to fix it in gold, so it stays.

Worn on a chain, attached to a bracelet, or held alone. The intention does not shift with placement.
