ENTWINED TWILIGHT COLLAR
Some forms are discovered in the world before they are transformed into jewellery.
While travelling through Africa, Colette was drawn to the necklaces and bracelets worn by Maasai women, their compositions built through repetition, colour and layers of individually crafted beads. The experience stayed with her, becoming part of the thinking behind Entwined with You.
The Twilight Collar carries that memory into the language of High Jewelry. A sculptural line of 18 karat white gold follows the neck, bringing together natural white diamonds and Akoya pearls in a composition defined by rhythm and contrast.
The diamonds introduce precise points of light, while the pearls bring a softer, more interior luminosity. Their differing scales create another dimension within the design. A single large pearl measures 12 mm, surrounded by smaller pearls measuring 4 mm, creating a deliberate variation in proportion.
At approximately 3.4 cm wide, the collar holds a strong presence against the body. Yet its significance lies in the way it can become part of a larger personal composition. Like the layered adornments that inspired Colette, Entwined was conceived to be worn in relation to other pieces, allowing the wearer to build a story through proximity, repetition and accumulation.
The back hinge opening and front chain clasp give the collar a considered structure, allowing it to sit securely while remaining close to the body.
Twilight is a study in inheritance and transformation. A memory of adornment encountered in another place, reinterpreted through the materials, craftsmanship and language of the Maison.
