ENTWINED PEARL WRAP RING

While travelling through Africa, Colette was drawn to the necklaces and bracelets worn by Maasai women, composed through layers of stacked, beaded forms. Their rhythm, repetition and sense of personal expression became part of the inspiration for Entwined With You, a collection created to be layered, combined and made personal through the way it is worn.

The Entwined Pearl Wrap Ring carries this idea through a sculptural composition that wraps around the finger. Crafted in 18 karat gold, the form creates a sense of movement, bringing Akoya pearls and natural white diamonds into a continuous relationship with the hand.

The pearls introduce a softer, more interior quality of light. The diamonds answer with precise brilliance, their brilliant cut surfaces creating points of light across the structure. Neither material overwhelms the other. Their contrast gives the ring its character.

At 2.3 centimetres wide and 3 centimetres long, the proportions are deliberate, allowing the composition to extend beyond the traditional silhouette of a ring. The slip on construction gives the jewel an effortless quality, while its sculptural presence remains unmistakable.
